■ Past initiatives and uses of funds
ARCS has been conducting research and development aimed at solving the structural challenges facing the field of assisted reproductive technology by utilizing technologies such as AI and robotics. With this funding and subsidies (for the above-mentioned projects, hereinafter referred to as DTSU, PoP, etc.), we will promote research and development, clinical research, and social implementation (start of overseas expansion) in an integrated manner, and accelerate our expansion both domestically and internationally.
■ What is assisted reproductive technology?
Assisted reproductive technology (ART) refers to highly automated infertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). It has increased dramatically in recent years in developed countries where the average age of mothers giving birth is rising, and in 2023, one in nine children in Japan was born through ART. Globally, the number of births resulting from ART is also projected to increase. ART offers a glimmer of hope to couples who find it difficult to conceive naturally.
On the other hand, maintaining and guaranteeing the quality of medical care and improving the success rate of treatments is not easy for medical institutions that provide assisted reproductive technology. Our company will continue to advance research and development to improve the quality of infertility treatment and realize a society where more people can receive treatment with peace of mind.

As ARCS plans to focus more on research going forward, we are actively recruiting engineers, researchers, and business development personnel.
